Race Gameplay

Fiebru is an interactive 3D racing game and environment artifact built in Unreal Engine 5 to challenge the lack of authentic Puerto Rican representation in the gaming industry. While the island is rarely featured in mainstream titles, this project mirrors the real-world layout of historic Old San Juan through a distinct, stylized art direction, blending it with local automotive culture and a fun, entertaining arcade physics system.

Developed as an independent MFA thesis project, the circuit uses meticulous architectural mapping to remain highly accurate to the city's landmarks while leaning into an engaging, expressive visual style. As the solo game developer and 3D artist, I handled the entire pipeline across Unreal Engine 5, Autodesk Maya, Blender, and Houdini to prove that distinct regional identities can be celebrated authentically through unique art styles without losing their real-world essence.
